set the scene_상황을 준비하다

하루는 슬랙으로 다른나라에 있는 담당자가 내게
"Hey bud, for tomorrow, let Jason take Korea so that he can set the scene for the rebuild you are doing in Korea."
라고 메세지를 보냈는데 이게 참 의미가 와닿지 않는거다. 

그말인 즉슨, 내일 있을 회의에 Jason에게 설명을 맡기란 이야기 였는데, set the scene이란 표현이 와닿지 않아 난감했던 적이 있다. 버버벅;;;  빠르게 의미를 파악하고 콤이 되어야되는데....흐음.  

요즘들어 부쩍 타국가 담당자들과 미팅이 잦아졌다... 큰일이다. 공부하자!

1. To prepare for something by providing a background, a description, etc.
2. create the conditions in which something can easily happen. 밑밥
3. describe a situation, prepare for the occurrence of something

Ex:
1. His arrival set the scene for another argument.
